It is with great joy that we launch the 2022 FreshFood4Life Get Growing Challenge!
Why This Challenge
We admit it. We love growing stuff when spring rolls around. During winter, we sit around and daydream about what we would like to grow the next spring season. It’s fun to get into the garden and grow. And we would love to encourage you, your loved ones, and even your neighbours to get growing too!
If you get children involved early enough in the joy of growing, you will motivate them to grow their own little garden as they get older AND a side benefit is that they will care more about the planet. We all need to care more about the planet, don’t you agree?
How The Challenge Works
It’s simple. Just get something growing in your world and take a photo of it and post it online and tag us on instagram. We’ll take the picture, add our official challenge title and logo on to it and re-upload it to our instagram channel and tag you back on the picture. Now your family and friends will see that you’re a part of a community of people who just want to get growing!
The challenge is open all summer from May 15 until September 15, 2022.

What’s In It For Me
Everyone needs to be part of a community. All of us here have a passion for growing. We want to see others develop that passion too! Even if you have never grown anything before in your life, you can start today with a simple seed.
When you accomplish growing something for the first time, the joy you will feel is something like scaling a tall mountain or passing a hard examination. You’re going to get that awesome feeling that we know you will love! We want you to experience this for yourself!
Spend 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour in your garden everyday. Consider it your quiet time or meditation time or unwinding time. Being in your garden really does help you relax.
While you’re there, take a photo with your phone. Post it on instagram and tag us @freshfood4life. Use the hashtag #2022FF4LGetGrowingChallenge That way, you can connect with other growers too!
